Thank you for your interest in working with me!

Unfortunately, I am not accepting new clients at this time.

Please feel welcome to add your name to the waitlist, knowing that, while difficult to estimate, it may be 6 months or more before a space becomes available.

What to expect

My name is Lindsey and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in complex trauma and the neurodivergent experience. I offer mental health counseling in Virginia for teens and adults. I especially enjoy working with queer and trans folks, and am dedicated to create an affirming therapeutic space.

My clients often come in with stories of “never enough,” struggle with a sense of belonging, and may feel overwhelmed and burnt out by simply existing. In our sessions we will work together to create a safe, authentic, and non-pathologizing space in which all of your parts are welcome, you are not a problem to be fixed, and you are the expert in your experience. There we can begin the healing process.

note: I firmly believe that autistic people are not broken versions of neurotypical or non-autistic people. I practice using a neurodiversity-affirming lens, which centers self-acceptance, autonomy, disability justice, and self-love. I do not use any behavior modification approaches.

More on this here, with gratitude to the Therapist Neurodiversity Collective and all of the folks with lived experience who have contributed to the development of the Neurodiversity Movement.

just as I am, then I can change.”
